Online learning since 2014
Learn moreA good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning.
Send a message on the online form to schedule an online meeting. After an online meeting, you can decide what type of coding you would like your child to learn (web, game etc). The classes are tailored to each learner.
Coding classes are online. You only need an internet connection. You will be provided with all the notes, programs, and any other software. Everything will be set up for you. All coding work is done in class, there is no homework!
The best way to learn how to code is to code! Coding classes are based on mini projects which impart skills and are fun to do. PBL is an effective way to learn. I spend as much time as necessary to make each learner understand a concept.
PS: That's me at age 11 at my PC.
Hello, my name is Kauress (also known as Jannat!) and I'm an educator & developer. I have been teaching since 2014 & have taught over 500+ learners since! I have taught at many coding bootcamps in:
I have also been an instructor on online platforms such as SitePoint, Envato Tuts+ & Udemy. My students are between ages 9 - 40+ ! Students who learn with me are from all walks of life who have just started learning to code, or have some previous background but want to level up.
I was introduced to programming at the age of 11 and have been coding since. I have an intrinsic love of learning and imparting knowledge & skills. This has led me to be a head instructor at a coding bootcamp in the US which is part of the White House's Tech Initiative.
Unlike other coding programs that do not make their own curriculums or course materials, I constantly develop my own material. It is not outsourced to anyone. Instead my current experience and cumulative experience of 7 years help to keep improving tutorials and teaching programs.
I also include a "Learning how to Learn" module in my classes. Just like chemistry, english and math require a different methodology each for learning, so does coding. Students are given tips and gently lead through thinking processes to help them learn coding.
I believe small is beautiful . My classes are small, focus is given to individual growth and progress. By keeping my classes small I can invest in each learner and impart the same excitement and love of learning as I had as a young girl learning tech.
Over the past 7 years, I have been featured across many online platforms and won a few awards as well :) PS: You can view my profile here as well
I have been developing learning content for beginners since 2014 for after school programs and coding bootcamps. Some sample lessons are:
JavaScript Animation Series for schools in Colorado
Cereal Coding Concepts Worksheet
Artificial Intelligence project for teens
Course DetailsEvery child is unique and has her own style of learning. Individual attention decreases pressure for the child to perform well and learners do better when learning a new skill. Focus is given on understanding and applying concepts.
Classes are project based and fun! There are no tests, only practical work.
Besides learning how to code, your child will also learn HOW to learn coding.
Besides teaching, I have developed courses, and curriculums that have been used at coding classes across Canada, US, India and the M.E. I very much involved in teaching and the development of effective learning material for coding.
Learning in a relaxed atmosphere and focus on fundamentals, reinforces an interest in computer science. Many of my students have gone on to study AP computer science in High School and continued coding.
